Scorchers fever sparks VIP sell-out for Zimbabwe tie

Corporate Box and VIP tickets for Friday's women's international between Malawi's Scorchers and Zimbabwe's Mighty Warriors have sold out, the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has confirmed.

FAM communications officer Collins Nsunza said all tickets in the two premium categories had been bought.

"Yes, it is true, all sold out," he said.

Interest in the match has grown as the Scorchers return to action at home after their impressive performances at the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon).

Their recent displays have generated renewed interest in women's football in Malawi.

The fixture is expected to attract considerable attention from fans across the country.

Supporters are now looking ahead to seeing the team play in front of a home crowd against their neighbours.
